TAYLOR, Denis, Warrant Officer (1265920, RAFVR) - No.157 Squadron - Distinguished Flying Cross - awarded as per London Gazette dated 6 November 1945. Citation in Air Ministry Bulletin 20086.

Warrant Officer Taylor has completed a number of long range sorties which have included attacks on such targets as Cologne, Mannheim and Frankfurt. During this time he has destroyed two enemy aircraft. He has completed many sorties in difficult circumstances and has set a fine example to other pilots.

The DFC citation noted by Hugh is for a different pilot. D. G. W. Tayler's DFC was gazetted on June 6, 1944, noted as a F/O on 139 Sqn.

    Tayler was commissioned w.e.f. Sept. 21, 1942.
