    Default Fate of W/O WW Stratton R.153808 21.02.45 - 601 Sqn

    Hello,

On 21 Feb 1945, this American pilot serving in the RCAF was obliged to bale out from his Spitfire after having hit a tree while strafing MTs not far from Venice. He eventually survived but what it is not known to me is if he was made a PoW or if he managed to evade capture?

    Does anyone know?

    Thanks

    Phil
