Peenemunde 17/18th August 1943 Aiming Point F what PFF Squadrons

Can anyone please tell me what PFF squadrons were allocated Aiming Point 'F' to mark on the above Raid.

Charles: My books are in boxes right now. Middlebrook, in his book on Peenemunde may have the information you seek. Otherwise, you will have to look at the various Form "B"'s or Pathfinder Group and Squadron ORB's.

Hi Chaz,

According to Martin Middlebrook book on the attack, it was the Lancaster PFF that attacked first with the Halifax PFF coming in later. So that includes the following PFF Sqns, 7, 83, 97 & 156.
The housing estate “F” was attacked by 54 Stirlings 12 Lancaster’s form 3 Group, 145 Halifax’s from 4 Group, 14 Pathfinder Backers Ups and 19 non marking Pathfinders.
