    Killed in an Air Raid.

    Notgrove (St.Bartholomew) Churchyard, Gloucestershire.
    Died naturally after an operation (?).

    MITCHELL, Basil Thomas - AC2c - 922882 - RAFVR.
    Weston-On-the - Green ( St.Mary) Churchyard, Oxfordshire.
    Injured in an Air Raid on Church Fenton on the 28th October. Died in hospital at York.

    Died following an operation for appendicitis. At the time of his death he had been in the RAF for approx. 18 months

    This was a Short Scion Junior, as per: https://discovery.nationalarchives.g...ls/r/C16688160
    Correct serial was AV981.
    According to the relevant Air-Britain serials book, Leopard Moth AV986 was lost on 30Aug41 with 1 FPP, when it was blown into a wall by a gust on take-off from a forced-landing at Rushup Edge, Derbyshire.
    I will amend our database accordingly.

    Crew of Ju88A-1 7089 4D+TS of 8./KG30, which crashed at Glaisdale Head en-route to an attack on RAF Linton-on-Ouse.

    Bubel and Juvan were crew of He111P-2 1571 G1+JS of 8./KG55, shot down by AA fire over Essex.
    I think the other three were crew of Ju88A-1 4145 L1+MB of 1./KG1, shot down by AA fire over Sussex. There seems to be a little confusion over the names of this crew.
