Bloodhound1234,
Sturtivant’s FT&SU 1912+ has a large section (p.62 in my edition) on each AACU you are after. Dates, places, a/c (and s/ns).

Does anybody have any specific information where individual aircraft of these two units were based? I believe both units HQs were at at Ringway
Both units had on strength a number of light aircraft, Puss Moth, Leopard Moth etc usually impressed at various airfield in the UK but there is little information just what was based where.
If anybody can help it will be greatly appreciated

Hi
I am specifically looking for any aircraft type and serial for those with 6AACU that were based at North Coates between June 41 to February 42 and likewise with 7AACu between February 42 to November 43
The only ones I can confirm are Leopard Moth X9383 with 6AACU based at North Coates and Oxfords N6296 and EB753 with 7AACU. I am aware of other types but trying to pin them down to this particular airfield is the problem
bloodhound1234,
Sturtivant confirms 6 AACU at N Coates 9 May 41 > 24 Feb 42, and 7 AACU 24 Feb 42 > 30 Nov 43.
6 AACU Leopard Moth AV985. 7 AACU Oxford L4536.
These are not same as yours, and there is no indication of which a/f at which any of the a/c saw service.

OK Resmoroh, . The North Coates ORB doesn't not give any clues whatsoever other than accidents occurring to those that I have stated.
Nevertheless your reply is an added bonus to the info I already possess such as it is.
Many thanks for taking the effort to reply
