On his operation to Dessau, 7/8-March,1945, dad was diverted to Odiham:

Wikipedia records “During the Second World War North American Mustangs and Hawker Typhoons were flown out of the base.” but does not list the squadron’s operating during 1945.

I’m interested if anyone happens to have the ORB for Odiham, either at Base level or Station level. Dad recorded in his logbook that A/Cdre McBurney was with dad on the operation and that 6-Group sent a car to pick him up at Odiham. I’m wondering if there is any record of McBurney as a visitor to the station. There is no record of McBurney visiting Middleton St. George on 7-March, 1945, and he’s not listed as on the aircrew battle order.
This is a stretch, I realize. I’m trying to corroborate dad’s record of this occasion.

Thanks Brian. It seems to me the operational units likely were on the continent at this time. There were various servicing units and Beam approach training (BAT) units stationed there. There should be an ORB specific to the Station and Base.
