7 Squadron Help Needed - Sgt Joseph Hardy, KIA 20/21-10-1943

Are there any 7 Squadron experts on the forum? 7 Squadron Lanc JA907 took off at teatime on the 20th of October 1943 for operations against Leipzig. It was shot down over Holland.

The WOP/AG in the crew was Sgt Joseph Hardy. Does anyone have any background information on this fellow? I am researching whether this was the same Sgt J Hardy WOP/AG who had previously served with 100 Squadron at RAF Seletar, and had been involved in the Battle of Endau on the 26th of January 1942.

As a starting point, the 7 Squadron casualty seems to be 1032217, aged 23, the son of Joseph and Winifred May Hardy, of Sheffield.

Thanks for this. Unfortunately, the service number of "my" Sgt J. Hardy isn't recorded in the 100 Squadron ORB anywhere, so I've been able to use that as a cross-reference. Thanks for the reply though :-)
