Proposed aircraft losses for this day:

Hemley I - L3298 - 1 AACU - crashed in forced landing near Weybourne, Norfolk.
Oxford I - V3221 - 14 FTS - crashed on approach ½ mile E of Sibson.
Oxford II - V3777 - 6 FTS - collided with another Oxford (Air Britain with V3777 !!!) and crashed near Little Rissington.
Tutor I - K3236 - CFS - crashed on approach Alton Barnes LG.

Bruce,26, registered in Huntingdon N, right, at the time, for Sibson,
Burkle,25, and Richards,20, registered at N Cotswold. Gloucestershire, right for Little Rissington
Evans,20, registered at Sleaford, Lincolnshire
Howarth,20, registered at Buckrose Yorkshire.
Palmer, 20, registered at Weymouth, Dorset
Thompson,20, registered at Ely
Bryant didn't come up but CWGC has him on Runnymede which might explain no registration.
Neither Furnau or Golding came up on the registers or on CWGC
Storey/Story is on CWGC but not on the register and may have died outside England or Wales

Bruce & Fernau at North Huntingdon (Peterborough area) but I have no incident in this area on this date.

Richards at North Cotswold, Oxford V3777. (I don't know what the other a/c was)

Will look at the others later unless beaten to it.

Correction to my earlier post, I do indeed have an incident in Hunts (I had mistakenly labelled Sibson as being in Northants)

It looks like Fernau didn't come up on the register or CWGC because of a mis-spelling.
We can all consider ourselves absolved from mis-spelling,even CWGC has his wife as Pamela Fernay!!

Dick: Where did you find that AC2 Edward C. BRYANT - 1381681 is mentioned on the Runnymede Memorial ? I've him buried at Wembley (Alperton) Burial Ground, and his name is neither in the Runnymede Register (Edition 1953) nor in the Addenda.

I indeed forgot to mention that AC2 John EVANS - 1068014 is mentioned on the Runnymede Memorial Panel 290 (Addenda Register Part 15, page 933). Is it correct that his death was registered at Sleaford, Lincolnshire ?

Hi Henk
I honestly don't know how I came to put Bryant on the Runnymede Memorial. He didn't show up on the England and Wales register. The only one I found was an Edgar M Bryant,19 at Bridgend in S Wales.
I did find, from a long list of Evans's a John Evans,20, at Sleaford. the others were far too old. Until you mentioned it I didn't look at CWGC so missed him at Runnymede, I note that CWGC doesn't give an age. If he is on Runnymede, as he seems to be, then a death registration is unlikely ,unless they lost his grave before the Memorial was set up. It would be better if the Sleaford registration was put to one side,bearing in mind that the lists I look at are not dated,but merely in 3 month blocks
