Greg
They have also had one of their Hawks marked up in a special 95th anniversary colour scheme too . . .

Hi peter, my apologies buddy, I did receive it but haven't replied. I've just got in from work, but I'll be sure to send you a proper reply in the morning once I've got up and got the kids off to school :)

Hello,
Sorry to hijack the thread here. I am doing some family history research into my Grandfather who served with 100 Squadron from Jun 41 to 2 Mar 42, out in the Far East (Leading Aircraftsman, Ground Support).
I am trying to get in touch with the association, but the email on their website doesn't appear to work. Does anyone have working up to date contact information?
Perhaps my questions could be asked on this forum too I suppose? (Want to know what happened to him when 100 Squadron were in Singapore and evacuated. Next line on his service record is he's in Perth, and then in Ceylon. According to a letter, as of 13/3/42 he was safe in British Territory. There's a family story that he had to escape through the jungle to get back to Australia).
Many thanks,
Philip Newman
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this but I am new to this web site. My father- in- law was in the RCAF and stationed in Grimsby with the 100 squadron. I am interested in information on the loss of their Lancaster on Christmas Eve 1944 in the Blackpool area.
Tom - you'll be referring to PD420 "HW-D" I think, which came down near Kirkham. Drop me an email to gregATgreg-harrison.co.uk (replacing "AT" with the obvious) and I'll have a dig around in my files for you.
All the best,
Greg

Hi Peter, I hope this gets to you. I only just came across this. My dad was Bernard Phillips, the mid upper gunner that night. My mother is still alive and asked was your father Fred. She said he and my dad were good friends.
Kind regards
Richard
Richard,
As you'll have seen from the posts above, I've researched this crash, and am the 100 Squadron Association Historian. I'm sure we both have information we can share - could you perhaps drop me an email to greg@greg-harrison.co.uk
Many thanks and best wishes,
Greg

Hi Greg,
I am very pleased that my thread has revived! I will e- mail you if that's OK?
I have done a lot of research too, with help from Roger Stephenson.
Kind regards
Peter
