    401114 - Unaccounted Airmen - 14-11-1940

    CANADA
    BEISE, James Arnold - Lac - R/62211 - RCAF.
    Saskatoon (Woodlawn) Cemetery, Saskatchewan, Canada.
    On the night of the 12th the car in which he was travelling overturned. He received serious head injuries and died.

    UK
    CEBULA, Edward - Szeregowlec - P/781945 - PAF - 308 Sqn.
    KRZEMINSKI, Franciszek - Starszy Szeregowlec - P/780760 z- PAF - 308 Sqn
    These two airmen rest at Baginton (St.John the Baptist) Churchyard, Warwickshire.
    They were both killed when a bomb hit the Rialto Cinema in Coventry.

    GARRAWAY, Sidney Frank - AC2c - 1164531 - RAFVR - 917 Balloon Sqn.
    Swindon (Christ Church) Burial Ground, Wiltshire Wiltshire.
    ROBERTS, Thomas - AC1c - 852043 - RAF (AAF) - 917 Balloon Sqn.
    Lincoln (Canwick Road) Cemetery, Lincolnshire.
    These two airmen were killed by a bomb when they were attempting to rescue trapped civilians from a bombed house in Coventry.

    FEW, William Edwin Ronald - AC1c - 1157195 - RAFVR.
    Ilfracombe (Marlborough) Cemetery, Devon.
    Injured during an Air Raid on the 12th he succumbed in hospital this day.

    HEATH, Herman Wilfred - Lac - 770045 - RAFVR.
    Alperton Cemetery, Middlesex.
    Died in Croydon General hospital of a relapsing Fever.

    FRIEND, Arthur James William - Sgt - 812272 - RAF (AAF).
    HOARE, Clifford Philip - Sgt - 751805 - RAFVR.
    SIDAWAY, William Frederick - Sgt - 565797 - RAF.
    These three airmen were crew of Blenheim I - L1378 - 84 Sqn.

    The six above-mentioned airmen are commemorated on the Alamein Memorial, Egypt.

    BEISE, James Arnold - Lac - R/62211 - RCAF.
    Saskatoon (Woodlawn) Cemetery, Saskatchewan, Canada.
    On the night of the 12th the car in which he was travelling overturned. He received serious head injuries and died.

    Accident took place on the Banff Trail, 15 miles west of Calgary. Six passengers injured when car, driven by Ivan Smith, rolled over, LAC Beise died at Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary.

    Note in file from OC No. 2 Wireless School, Calgary states that he was told by the RCMP that Smith was going to be charged with manslaughter.

    CHAPMAN, Colin Dean's - P/O - 43280 - RAF.

    43280 P/O (Pilot) Colin Deans (not Dean's) CHAPMAN RAF, was an Australian, from Fullarton, South Australia. He was on his first op when lost.

    The top four were crew of Ju88A-5 0454/4U+FL of 3.(F)/123, which crashed in Poole.
    Vorbach was the pilot of Bf109E-4 6266 white 8 +, shot down over Broadstairs, Kent.
