The recommendations (if they can be found) should have more detail; I shall look for suggested Kew files.

    Default Vernon Page

    Hi Andy

Vernon Page was credited with four victories (plus a probable) in 1941, flying with 610 and 54 Squadrons.

What would you like to know about him?

    Cheers
    Brian

    Thanks Brian
I looked in 'Aces High' but forgot to check 'Those other Eagles'.
I see there is a detailed entry for him.
I think with the Citations from Hugh and whats in TOE all my questions are answeared.
The only thing that confuses me is why he had 2 Officer service numbers.
    Regards
    Andy

    Brian
I have looked up the second service number listed for him in TOE '61054'.
It would appear that this was Neville Duke's number.
Secondly Shores states that he was released from the RAF in August 1943.
Surely this is incorrect as he was only posted to India in October 43.
I have in my notes he returned from India mid 1945.
    Regards
    Andy
