I'm looking to locate an air rank officer with initials J.E.A.J.? I've tried TheGazette search function and the RafWeb Air Rank staff roll but no luck.

I thought about "Johnnie" Johnson but I don't think he had A. as one of his initials. Recently acquired an air rank officer's hat with the owner's initials punched in the leather sweatband. Usually, the tailors would punch in the full initials but it is possible there were more initials? Very curious. Closest is J.C.A.J. but I'm still positive J.E.A.J. is out there.

AVM J E A Baldwin is the other obvious one if the 'J' is badly written/istyped

Malcolm's list suggests a J.C.A.J. but the punching is very clearly a J.E.A.J. Probably reached Air Commodore rank late 50s - early 70s, judging by the design of the hat...
