If you have the last four numbers of the serial and the a/c type, you can search the RAF Serials link at the top of the page:

Doesn't ID the pilot though!

Hi all,
Hoping to positively ID a Tiger Moth crash on November 6th, 1945, near Bishop Stortford. The aircraft (5612) which belonged to RAF Great Dunmow Station Flight crashed injuring the Sgt Pilot.
Hoping someone can ID the Tiger Moth and the pilot.
Thank you.

Researching R.A.F. personnel from the North East of England
Can I just confirm that the date of 6 November 1945 comes from an ORB or similar please?
There is a query in the Air-Britain Tiger Moth production list as to whether the correct date was 6 October 1945.
F1180 confirms 6 Nov F/Sgt Dominie 339556 T5612
