As a F/Lt he force landed an Avro 504 somewhere in North Yorkshire in 23 Feb 1936 which i am researching. Precise locations not known.
I now know this was 608 Squadron Avro 504N K1044
But location is a blank

So still a mystery then!!
We can rule out any aerodrome!
See - the possible locations decrease as we write.

Hello
Is in Not On, or Noton? Norton-on-Tees? Not far from R.A.F. Thornaby, home of 608 Squadron...

There is a Notton, near Royston, Yorkshire. Re-reading the ASN link the idea the accident occurred near Thornaby is based on an assumption that was the aircraft's base.

Ross,
Does the F1180 note the time of the accident?
