    Default Unaccounted airmen - 19-7-1941

    What were the places of death registration for:

    AC1 Ernest A. BOOTHBY - 1371357;
    AC1 Patrick P. LEEHANE - 994068 - 99 Sqn (Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire), and
    AC2 Meirdryn WILLIAMS - 1276947.

    Proposed aircraft losses for this day

    Defiant I - V1140 - 60 OTU - crashed on landing East Fortune.
    Hudson I - T9341 - 1 (C)OTU - crashed on landing Silloth.
    Hurricane I - V7248 - 55 OTU - abandoned Sirley Farm, Whittonstall, Durham county.
    Master I - N7419 - 5 FTS - crashed; no further details.

    All three are DOAS in the same casualty list. Times, 13 August 1941.

    Thanks Dick and Ken. Will amend my files. DOAS for me means no further research at the moment. All names are in db but only MIA, KIA, KOAS urges me to further research, although - if available - additional info on DOAS also will be added to the person's name.

    Believed hitch hiking into Cambridge on a lorry struck his head on the roof of a subway and was so severly injured that he died later in hospital - Body found later on Lorry in Cambridge
