in some ORB I found the abbreviation L/f. I guess that this means light flak. Can anybody confirm?

    kind regards

    Steve,
Could you give us an actual example giving context of this abbreviation, would be very helpful; I take it this is used in relation to operations over enemy territory?

    Hi Steve,
as David wrote an example will be very useful.
LF also could mean Low-altitude Fighter asi it was used for example in Spitfire marking:

    Spitfire LF Mk.IXE

    Hi,

    ORB says:

    Abortive, received cease bombing at 2209 hrs before reaching target. L/F at 53 45 N 03 or 08 (unreadable) 34 E. 2235 hrs. approx. 1000 (10000?) ft.

Further it is said a/c hit by flak.

    regards

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

as I am not native English speaker I do not know the exact phrase but I guess it means they jettisoned their bomb load on the given coordinates.
