Default Fly Off Hubert Kenneth Smith 88714

    Hi,

Does anyone know the circumstances surrounding the death of Fly Off Smith? The CWGC states he was a Fly Off (pilot instr) but doesn't give a unit.

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Alex,

F/O H. K. Smith was reported "Killed on Active Service" in the Times list of 2 June 1942. Death therefore due to a flying accident or on the ground due to enemy action.

    Regards, Ken

    Hi Ken,

    Thanks for the info.

The fact he was an instructer makes me think he died in an air accident.
