    Default 571799 Manquet POW

    Hi guys

someone on a geneology site is asking after a Paul Manquet. I have found a P Manquett 571799, Wireless Operator/Electrical Mechanic Apprentice, and I have found him on Ross's POW list (spelt Manquett, with an extra T). But there is no POW camp or number - which, if I am right, usually implies being injured and held in a hospital.

He is not listed Footsteps, so not a Bomber Command loss. Can anyone fit an aircraft to him? Details?

    Cheers

There is no PW number or Camp noted by the side of his entry in the official HMSO listing either.

You may wish to point your friend in the direction of the the International Committee of the Red Cross. They still hold records of all PWs and, fingers crossed, should have details of your chap.
