    Default German Aircraft research help

Ive been looking into Heinkel He-111P-4, Wnr.3085
    5J+GP

it crashed the night off 15/16th feb 1941.

ive got crash details from a couple of sites and books but nothing on the aircraft op history, german aircrew history or even where they were buried.

I dont know much about researching german aircraft and aircrew, any help would be appreciated.

    cheers

Try a posting on the Luftwaffe Experten Message Board at http://www.luftwaffe-experten.org/forums/ . The forum deals almost exclusively with Luftwaffe matters and is usually very helpful.

I would hazard a guess the crew you are after are the ones buried in Durham, the other crew probably belonged to He 111P 1G+FR 7/KG 27 which was Shot down at Night at Higher Luscombe Farm, Harberton, 2,5 m S of Totnes, Devon

Those at Castletown Cemetery, Hylton, Sunderland are indeed the crew of 5J+GP which crashed at Bent's Park, South Shields
