    Default Sgt David Richard Lewis - 1583571 - Died 20/2/45 - 524 Sqd

    Hi to everyone.

    As usual could some kind soul provide the following please:-

    Base;

    Aircraft Flown/flown in;

    Serial No and Code;

    Possible Crashsite.

    On checking this site for the relevant 524 history it states, that 524 was based at Langham with a detachment at Dallachy, Caithness on 1/11/44. What I was wondering; was Sgt Lewis lost whilst flying from Langham or Dallachy in Scotland.

    Sgt Lewis is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial. I have a Code of 7R for this date of loss just need confirmation that this is correct.

    Kindest Regards.

    Steve.

    Hi
    I am aware that sometime has elapsed since this thread was last contributed to, however could I ask if someone could recheck the details surrounding the loss of the individuals below.
    As you will note the date of death is the 25th February 1945 not the 20th.
    I have contributed to a thread on another forum in which I have gone into greater detail. Should I post those details here? I have copied the link below.
