    Hi Rene
    From "Flying Training and Support Units since 1912"- Ray Sturtivant and John Hamlin, I can find
    1 ECDU at Westcott
    524 Sqn were at Langham but were disbanded in May '45
    HTCU = Heavy Transport Conversion Unit but the book only gives the abbreviation and not the location of any individual unit
    TICU= Transport Initial Conversion Unit
    HTH

    Sy .iston ?? 05/41 - probably Syerston?

    1 Receiving Wing at Babbacombe (redesignated 1 ITW 14 Jun 41, still at Babbacombe)

    1332 (Transport) Heavy Conversion Unit was based at Ricall in No.4 Group at this time.

    17 Air Crew Holding Unit at Snaith until 27 May 46 then Bramcote until disbanded 15 Aug 46.

    Hi Rene
    From http://www.rafweb.org/Menu.htm#Stations, I can find 22 Sqn and No 2 Mobile Torpedo Unit at the date you posted for N Coates
    304,305 and 408 Sqns for the Syerston Date
    It does look from the short times indicated, that in 1941 your subject was going through training or being equipped for training and might not have been on an established Sqn or Trials unit
    Regards
    Dick
