BOAC no longer exists. It was merged with BEA to form British Airways and if records exist that should be where they are. They have a web site and I am sure that there are Phone , Mail and e-Mail contacts on there

    He was

Alastair Michael Adair MAJENDIE (60542) - thats his Commishioned officer service number.

He was Comet fleet captain in the 1950's. In his obituary in 1970 in Flight it says he joined BOAC in 1946 but there is little detail of the intervening years.

J B Richardson one of DW110 survivors stayed in the RAF and was a participant in teh airlift according to the Medal sales information Amrit found for us earlier this year.

    Take Care

    Hello,

Thank you Dennis for your advice. I followed your idea I wrote to the BA museum yesterday and this afternoon I received the answer I was hoping. A gold mine.
