Default DH 82 TIger Moth ??696

    Hi,

On 28 October 1947 a French DH 82 Tiger Moth collided over the air base of Cognac.

The book I read put only the last numerals of the serial i.e. 696.

Does anybody has in his own list or in the A/B series the complete serial of the aircraft ?

    TIA

    Bertrand

    Hi Bertrand,

Using the lists I put in the Research Materials section

    http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2373

Narrows the aircraft down to 8 possible combinations:

    BB696
    DX696
    N6696
    NL696
    PG696
    T5696
    T6696
    T7696

All are valid Tiger Moth serials ending in 696.

    Regards
    Ross

From the serials named by Roos only PG694 up to PG700 were delivered to the Armée de l'Air 12-8-1945.

Thanks Ross and Henk. It is certainly this one. PG686 collided with Nord 1002 n°148. All crew (4) in both planes died.
