Default Sub-Lt Christopher Waltham Porter, RNVR & 29 Squadron Hunsdon

This message was left via a guestbook entry for the Hunsdon airfield Memorial website recently, can anyone assist this gentleman find the info he requires?

    David Miller asked....
I am interested in Ty/Sub-Lt Christopher Waltham Porter, RNVR, of 29 Squadron RAF. All I know at the moment is that he was lost on a mission from Hunsdon on 22 July 1944. As a minimum I hope the discover what mission he was flying, who was the pilot, and how they were killed. If possible, I would also like to know how long he had been on the squadron and why a Fleet Air Arm observer was flying with the RAF? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Denis
