    Default Sgt J W T Davies - 977311

    Hi All

Can anyone sort this one out?

The above airman is listed as a W.Op/AG with 405 Sqn (CWGC) and was lost on on 29 Aug 1941 in Wellington W5488 (Chorley)

However, an airman of the same rank and name is shown as a pilot shot down in P8255 of No 19 Sqn on thew same date.

Does anyone know who the real Sgt Davies was?

    Malcolm

This has been discussed on TOCH this time last year, froma google search, sadly TOCH is down just at the moment but its availbale on the google cache:

If that link does not work the basic information from the thread is that a Sgt Clifford Davies 1106853 may have been shot down and POW that day. I can't see the second page of the TOCH thread. I think that is the jist of the TOCH thread at least.

I think that's cleared up now.
