    Default 1 SFTS loss, 28 Sep 1941

    Hi,

On 28 September 1941 Act Leading Airman W E G Chaplain FAA/FX84908 was killed in a flying accident while with 1 SFTS. Also killed on this day, again with 1 SFTS was Act Leading Airman D W Dorey.

Would anyone know what aircraft he was flying? And was he alone or was Dorey in the same aircraft?

My main interest is in Chaplain as he is on a local Roll of Honour.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Dave,

Many thanks for the info. The body of Chaplain was returned to his family and he is buried in Anstruther New Cemetery, Fife. He is also commemorated on the Crail War Memorial, Fife and he is one of 72 WWII names on the Waid Academy Roll of Honour.

    Alex
