Have you tried emailing or a PM to Ragnar in Iceland. I haven't seen him around on the Forum much of late but that might just be because he does not routinely look. When ever I've asked him a question he has almost always "come up with the goods"! If he did not, then he knew who did know!

According to RAF Overseas War Deaths 1939-1948 you will be surprised to learn his unit is listed as ICELAND !

Lysander R2035 , 41 OTU , aircraft was being flown by NZ 402456 J,J,J GREVATT PILOT OFFICER , aircraft lost and engine cut due to lack of fuel , both occupants survived crash but both slightly burnt , aircraft badly damaged .
dont know gunners name .

P/O J J J GREVATT RNZAF was later killed in Hurricane BN864 OF 239 SQD ON THE 13/3/42 ,A/C flew into cloud covered hills QUANTOCK HILLS NR CROWCOMBE During a AIR FIRING EXERCISE .

Hello

AC1 William M. BOAL - 943541 - he was aboard the C.A.M. merchantman Empire Wave, which was sunk by U-562 on October 2nd 1941 on a voyage with convoy ON-19 from Sunderland to Halifax, N.S.. He survived the sinking, but died of exposure in hospital in Reykjavik.

The survivors were picked up by the Icelandic trawler Surprise, and landed at St Patrick's Fjord, Iceland.

AC2 Charles W. BROWN - 1242716 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at R.A.F. Station Biggin Hill.

AC2 Ronald ROSENTHALL - 1479439 - with regards to the men lost on the bus fire, the Gloucester Echo of October 27th 1941 reported the following:

BLAZING BUS VICTIMS NAMED
After exhaustive inquiry to remove all chances of error, the names of the nine Royal Air Force men who lost their lives in the blazing bus tragedy on the London Road at Charlton Kings on Tuesday night are announced today.
Other than L.A.C. Harold Thomas Stokes, aged 60, the well-known Cheltenham photographer, of 2, Hales Road, who died in the bus, and A.C.2 Kenneth John Fuller, aged 20, of Mosterton, near Crewken [sic], Somerset, who succumbed to his burns in a Cheltenham hospital on the following day, whose names had been previously announced, they are as follows:
Corporal Sidney Francis Andrews, aged 25, of Swincombe Avenue, Ealing;
A.C.2 John Vaseley, aged 32, of 14, Swanscombe Road, Notting Hill;
A.C.2 Robert Leslie Coppin, aged 27, of Peldon, near Colchester;
A.C.2 Ronald Rosenthall, aged 20, Carlton Lodge, Cliff Road, Hornsea;
A.C.2 Fred Poulton, aged 26, of 22, Carnley Street, West Melton, near Rotherham;
L.A.C. Sydney George Medwin, aged 19, of Cookham Dean, Berks; and
L.A.C. Michael Brady de Maynard, aged 18, of Chivenore [sic], North Devon.

AC2 Cyril WOODWARD - 1047540 - attd 757 Sqn FAA - the Rotherham War Memorials website has the following:

Cyril Woodward was born in 1923, his birth registered in Worksop in the first quarter. He was the first child of mine labourer George Woodward and Lily (nee Adams) who had married the year before, and lived at Hangman’s Lane, Laughton Common.
Cyril was an Aircraftman 2nd Class, service number 1047540 in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve and served with 757 Defence Regiment at Nutts Corner, County Antrim.
Cyril died, aged 18, on active service on 21 October 1941 and was buried in Laughton-En-Le-Morthen (All Saints) Churchyard on 25 October 1941.

Clearly Woodward wasn't attached to the FAA, 757 was one of the initial ground defence squadrons which became the RAF Regiment, 757 becoming 2757 Sqn.
