    Hi,
    Anyone with access to Air Force lists: George Morley Fidler KIA 19 May 1940....what was his rank on this date? Some say Flt Lt others Sqd Ldr. LG site has gone walk about again.

    While not necessarily definitive, the CWGC has his rank as Sqn Ldr. I can not find a promotion in the LG, which indicates that his CWGC Sqn Ldr rank was probably acting, which was not gazetted.
