    Hi Henk
Carter,33,registered at Durham W in the NE of England. It is too far South for the Hurricane at Bedlington
Hodkinson,27 is registered at Swindon, the right area for Cricklade and L4636
Burden,19, and White,27 are both registered at Cirencester, Gloucestershire and it would be the right area for both R6072 and V3234. S Cerney is only 3 mls from Cirencester. It seems probable that L4636 (also from 3FTS)cleared away from the airfield for whatever practice he required
    Regards
    Dick

    Default Hurricane I, V6986, 55 OTU, 25-10-41

    Hello Henk,
Hurricane I, V6986 crashed at Bedlington, near Morpeth, Co. Durham.
The pilot Sgt KM Stuart-Turner VR 1295566 uninjured. The pilot failed to come out of a shallow dive on account of stiffness of the controls.
    Regards,
    Roy

    Ray and Henk

Morpeth is in Northumberland, not County Durham.

I was concerned that posting this next batch of answers from the F1180s would have put Henk under too much pressure to update after his request to remove his user name.

I now post them to contine his legacy on RAF Commands.

Hodkinson confirmed by F1180 as sole fatality on Oxford L4636

    White on Oxford V3234
