    Default 04-Jul-44 Oxford V3532 collided with X6872

    A couple of days ago I posted a thread asking for information about two oxford's that collided in Kimpton. Litcham Lad has advised me on the serial numbers and dates of the crash (Many thanks) see below.

    On 04-Jul-44 V3532 of 7FIS collided with X6872 during formation practice and spun into ground. It would appear that X6872 was repaired

    Have location as Kimpton

    Yes I agree. According to RAF serials V3532 crashed as you wrote and X6872 served wit 7 FIS and later 8 AFTS till 13.1.56 when sold as scrap.

    Hi Gents,

    ORB has:
    A fatal accident involving Oxford aircraft 3532 and causing fatal injuries to F/O C R Dodwell 153701 and F/O J A Wyatt 150615 occured. The investigating officer considered the accident due the inexperence of Formation Flying of F/O Taylor 150636 pilot of Oxford aircraft 6872.
