My Father's Mark IV Blenheim crashed into the North Sea of Holland on 1st July 1941. He and his navigator escaped unscathed but the wireless operator/gunner was injured in either the crash landing or the previous encounter with 109's and spent the next few weeks in Amsterdam hospital before catching the other two up on their movement around the usual POW camps.

They got into their dingy and were picked up by a german float plane.

Can anyone please tell me the escape routes from the Blenheim in such a situation for each crew member and how the dingy would have been deployed.

I have a lot of information about this day but little about the crash and ultimate rescue.

Regards,

Nick
