    he was killed on the 18.10.43. possibly in a mosquito
    any information greatly appreciated.

    Air Britain says DZ597, hit river bank on approach at night in rain Ranchi 18.10.43, though it gives Squadron as 684. From what I remember, 684 was formed from 681.
