Default P/O John Allen Ovens, RCAF, J/27170 - another ferry flight FTR

Could one of the members with a copy of Ocean Bridge look this one up for me please? Ovens and radio operator Charles "Albert" Conroy are listed in "They Shall Not Grow Old" as on a ferry trip with 45 ATG - lost on 7 Nov 1943 but no location, a/c type or s/n is listed (or possibly I didn't write it down). Conroy is listed in CWGC as LAC Charles "Ewart" Conroy R/151354.

Actually, it's a Ventura GR. V FP647. Sorry about that but I realize now that I had received this info off line already. Don't know why it didn't come up on a search. Here it is online for the next time anyone searches (including me).

Thanks to Robert Stitt for this.

Ventura GR.V FP647 - apparently destined for South Africa according to the Air-Britain book 'British Purchasing Commission'
Leonard Sylvester Lumb, Canadian civilian, pilot
P/O John Allen Overns, RCAF Nav [Ovens]
Eugene Gilbert Antoine Young, Canadian civilian, radio operator
LAC Charles Ewart Conroy, RCAF, passenger, radar mechanic
    Lost out of Trinidad.
