    Default Sgt. A.E. Danes, RAF

For a reader of my web sites, I'm trying to find information on the fate of an RAF POW, Sgt. A.E. Danes.

We think he was shot down on 11/12 March 1943 in Halifax BB212, and was in Stalag VIIIB with a number of RCAF POWs. We would like to know if he survived the war, and any information on his fate.

    Globe and Mail, 1943/04/20

DANES, Arthur Ernest, Sgt previously missing on active service, now reported prisoner of war. A. E. Danes (father), 133 Summerhiil Avenue, Toronto.

He does not appear on CWGC so I guess he survived.
