Default Flt. Rudolf Ricanek, 311 Czech Sqdn RAF?

On behalf of NOK, can anyone out there help me to information concerning Rudolf Ricanek, born 10/03/1914, who is believed to have flown with 311 Czech Squadron as a Flight Lieutenant during WW2?

    Many thanks.

    Hello Hans,

Sgt. Rudolf RICANEK (787272) was born *10/03/1914 in Trieste (Italy) - +19/06/1973. He was legendary cook of the 311 Czechoslovak Squadron. He was not commisioned and part of any operational aircrew too - flying staff of 311 squadron.

Could I ask you Hans, why are you interesting about Sgt. Ricanek?

    Hi Milan.

Thanks very much. I am only involved through English friends of mine, who met Sgt. Ricanek's son, Martin, socially while on a recent visit to Australia. My friends offered to help (my help!) in seeking information on his father's wartime experiences with the RAF in England, about which he appears to know almost nothing.

    With best regards,

    Hans
