    Default Airmen's Shoulder flash ?

    Hello,

Watched a film on BBC2 over the weekend.

In it there was a shot of several airmen with shoulder flashes.

"Australia", "New Zealand" and "U.S.A" but also "Great Britain" ?

Did British Airmen abroad, under training or otherwise overseas wear such shoulder flashes ?

Film was based on the Training of pilots in Canada .

    Thanks
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

shoulder flash "Great Britain" was used for exemple when British airmen were trained in the USA.

    Hello Pavel,

    Many thanks for reply.

As said the film was supposed to have been set in Canada so perhaps was not incorrect after all as i had thought.

I have found several cases of RAF students going through the "non RAF" schools in Canada. Can anybody confirm if these students would wear the "Great Britain" shoulder flashes? How about students at the RAF Schools (30 series)? Just curious.
