A further 81 records revised to PATTISON, F/L Richard Holtby; many earlier entries have additions.

A further 81 records revised to PATTISON, F/L Richard Holtby; many earlier entries have additions.
A further 117 revisions done - work complete to the end of PHILLIPS, John Harold.
Revisions up to Sam Wilfred POSNER have been completed. Backfills (i.e. adding new material to earlier entries) continue.
Revisions are now complete through to RAYMES, Daniel Francis.
Backfilling (adding to previous alphabetical entries) continues; one might wish to compare old and new entries for Arthur Peter Rogerson HOLMES or George Frederick GILBERT, although most backfills are less detailed.
F/L G.F. Gilbert, while stationed at No.4 Repair Depot, helped to salvage Anson L7054 belonging to No.34 OTU, Pennfield Ridge. The a/c had landed in a field at Trescott, Maine January 1943 during a snow storm.
A rather modest load of revisions brings the overhaul to REID, David Martin.
Extensive revisions (found via "Search Tools") have now been extended to ROBERGE, F/L Hilaire.
Backfilling of earlier entries continues. By way of illustrations, some such "backfills" may add several hundred words to a biographical note (example, BOWHAY, F/L Samuel Leslie (J4744) - Commended for Valuable Services, virtually a re-write and expansion.
Other backfills may merely provide a date of death and some information from obituaries. The entry for CLEMENT, F/L George Franklin (J8783) - Distinguished Flying Cross has been revised to include the following: "Died 29 June 2000. In 2008 his children published a 112-page, biography, A Life Remembered. "
In other cases (not many) the entry now has some added information regarding relevant photographs. That for MARCOU, S/L Howard Fortescue, AFC, (C795) has been augmented by the following - "Photo PL-44029 (ex UK-21412 dated 16 May 1945) shows him at RCAF hospital, Bournemouth, with “Squito”, his cocker spaniel soon after he was flown back to England from POW camp."
Extensive revisions (found via "Search Tools") have now been extended to ROMBOUGH, Donald Albert.
Given the slow pace given my methodical approach, I have decided to speed it up with revisions going onto the website even when there are obvious gaps to be filled. Thus, people searching for a name after "Rombough" may find some pleasant surprises as far as Sanderson, William Clifford.
If you find it difficult to navigate the Air Force Association website (and especially on getting to the "Search Tools" option) try googling Search Tool Air Force Association of Canada. Remember to enter a name (or part of a name), tick a category (surname) and also tick a subject category (most like RCAF awards 1939-1949).
