Complete upgrading now done to SHERLOCK, Eric Thomas; I am now spending more time making additions and amendments to what has been done earlier than in advancing towards the end of the alphabet.
Revisions and additions on Second World War awards to RCAF personnel (RCAF Association website) have now been extended to SCOTT, Henry James. Backfilling with respect to earlier names continues. Suggestions about accessing revisions via "Search Tools" can be found at posting No.79.

Complete upgrading now done to SHERLOCK, Eric Thomas; I am now spending more time making additions and amendments to what has been done earlier than in advancing towards the end of the alphabet.
Upgrades now completed to SIMPSON, F/O John William.
Updates now completed to SLAYDEN, F/O Philip. While this represents only 46 complete overhauls in the past month, some 142 earlier entries have been modified as well, although often to a minor degree (most frequently, information about RCAF photos of personnel).
Detailed updates completed to SMATHER, Leslie. However, I have decided to incorporate ALL changes to date (to the end of the alphabet) in the revised data base, accessible using the SEARCH TOOLS option. Almost every entry has had some amendments (some major, some minor). Backfilling and updating will continue, although updates such as this will be less frequent. Have fun and Happy New Year.
With the number of "views" approaching 48,000, a progress report is in order. The data base up to and including STAMBAUGH, Donald Charles has been completely overhauled and even entries upgraded a year or two ago have been revised in light of new information (such as that provided by obituaries). Many other entries after STAMBAUGH have also been improved (some changes are minor, others major). Approximately 800 RCAF entries after STAMBAUGH to the end of the alphabet remain to be revised. Revision of entries for RAF personnel serving in RCAF units are also ongoing.
Fastest access to the data base is by http://airforce.ca/honours-awards/se...ards-database/ with clicking on the appropriate boxes.

Fewer than 700 entries in the RCAF data base remain to be revised and updated, but the actual appearances of these on the RCAF Association website has been delayed while I do "reconstructive surgery" on earlier entries.
Hello,
For those wishing to access Hugh's RCAF Awards data, use the following:

Col.
RCAF entries are revised and updated one can use the database for information.
Those who have used the site in the past should note that data is being constantly augmented and revisions posted every month. Some are minor (such as noting the passing of a person) and some are major overhauls. I manage to do about 100 entries per month.
