    Henk,
    GRO shows a AC1 K.A. Elliott as with HMT Anselm at time of death,(05/07/41), but there's a W.A. Elliott, registered at Wenlock, who matches service number you give, 25/12/41, CWGC

    Hi Henk
    Shead,28, registered at Witney,Oxfordshire,
    Vass,22, registered at Hastings, Sussex
    Whittle,21, registered at Wayland, Norfolk
    Robson,36, registered at Buckrose,E Yorkshire
    I couldn't find Boyes on the register or William E Elliot
    The only Helen Martin(no middle initial) I could find was registered at Paddington, W Central London and she was aged 60 so I don't think she is the one you are looking for. CWGC has no age for their Helen Patricia Martin.
    Regards
    Dick

    Henk, one slight anomaly with George Robson 1091810. His age on CWGC is 35, but his age on the death register and on a joint gravestone (with his wife) is 36 years.

    36 would therefore seem to be correct.

    There is a Patricia Martin age 20 registered in Poole district in Q 1942, this district contains STURMINSTER MARSHALL, where she is buried. There is no suitable match in Scotland.

    There is a Harold W Boyes age 30 (vs 29 on CWGC) registered in final quarter of the year in Sutton Coldfield district, Warwick.

    Feb 5th magazine contains:
    DIED OF WOUNDS OR INJURIES RECEIVED ON ACTIVE SERVICE.A/C.l W. A. Elliot;

    Helen P Martin .... my father used to stay in Sturminster Marshall during the war when he was a boy, he told me of an ATS girl who was killed in a car accident on Xmas day and buried in the churchyard , he thought it was 1940 but I think he might have got the year wrong, seems a big coincidence otherwise

    Thanks John, an interesting addition to the thread. Seems too match up.
