    Default Crash-site Mosquito RS577 22 March 45??

    Hi....does anyone know if the crashsite of the following crew/plane was ever found???

    S/Lr Michael William O’Brien DFC 69497
    23 Sq, gesneuveld 22 March 1945
    Navigator, F/Lt Philip Allan Disney 139616
    Mosquito VI RS577, YP-?
    Bomber support (Intruder) Handorf-Münster sector.

    Hi,

    I suppose that the crashsite was found as they are both burried so their bodies were found - sure they can bale out.
    Unfortunately no of my sources gives anything more about the crashsite.

    Crashed on the German airfield Münster-Handorf near Münster (their target). Both were first buried in the Waldfriedhof (Cemetery in the wood) Lauheide at Handorf.
