    Hi Andrew,

The following is taken from BCL Vol.3

    19 December 1942

    149 Squadron

    Stirling I R9265 OJ-N
    Air Test

Crashed 1615 hrs at Great Cransden, Bedfordshire. The accident happened during a height and load test, during which structural failure of both wings occurred as the pilot tried to recover from a steep dive. Eight crew lost, Sgt. G W. Williams being one of the crew.

    Regards
    Peter.
