The No.15 EFTS accident was a fairly minor accident according to the ORB, they also recorded another minor incident on the same day.

January 9th 1942, “Forced landing of Mag. N3936 Pilot 1322728 LAC Loring, G.M. stopped airscrew during aerobatics and failed to restart it.
Forced landing of Mag. L5935 Pilot 793980 LAC Burkiewicz, H.”

I take it you already have details of the 5 FTS mid-air collision on this date.

Hi Errol,

Oddly, neither myself, Amrit or Henk appear to have consulted Messrs. Gunby & Temple's tome. I personally, have not added the 1942 RAAF casualties to my files as yet, and apart from a brief note in Atherton's file, I had completely overlooked checking BLME1.

I consulted the A705 of AUS408018 K H J HARRISON RAAF (NAA: A705 163/120/354), which, for the benefit of others, is incorrectly listed by the NAA under service number 408318, thereby making it difficult to locate with a simple service number search.
