Per my earlier post in this thread, Elsie’s great nephew (my brother-in-law over in England) researched and self-published a history of the Tarrant family. Can put you in touch if you wish.

My wife and I got to know Elsie after she moved to Vancouver in the early 1980s. She went by the name ‘June’ in remembrance of her first husband, Hugh Junor. We forwarded her mementos including photos to my brother-in-law when she passed away.

There are a couple of photos of Junor in the fascinating archaeology book Desert Insurgency by Nicholas J Saunders and no doubt you have read the passages describing Junor’s exploits with T E Lawrence in the the latter’s Seven Pillars of Wisdom.

I'd be very grateful if you could put me and end your brother-in-law in contact, I've sent you a PM with my contact details.

I've not read desert Insurgency but have read Seven Pillars and Lawrence of Arabia Secret Air Force (based on the diaries of Fl Sgt George Hynes) both of which I found most helpful.
