Hempholme is a very small hamlet on the banks of the River Hull consisting of about two or three farms about three/four miles from Catfoss, so I suspect it came down close to these otherwise it would have classed as near Brandesburton, Burshill or North Frodingham.

    Hi Malcolm

Standingholme Farm and Watton Farm are both possibilities for the location. I'm hoping somebody can determine which one
(Like yourself, I'm not a million miles from Hempholme)

    Cheers

Warner gives this loss as K7091 2(C) OTU Mk I: Control lost at night, crashed near Sandingholme, Yorks; Sgt. A. McBean (solo pilot) killed.

Didn't notice you where that close and therefore familiar with the area. I spent many a summer's afternoon down there in my youth having biked from Leven.
