Default loss cards 9th squadron RAF

    Hello,

Is there a boardmember who holds/has access to loss cards of 9th squadron RAF
Bomber Command ? Looking for the one referring to Wellington BJ674, lost on the 1000 bomber raid on Cologne, 30/31 May 1942.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I unfortunately don't have access to the loss card you are asking for.

But.... I have been reading all your topics about the BJ674 in the archive section and I was wondering if you found the crash location of this bomber, or are you still looking for it? After 'finding' a crash location near Holthees, I'm quite sure this must be the Vickers Wellington which crashed May 31st 1942. I would be pleased if you can confirm it.
Furthermore I might have some additional info because the crash location is very close to the farmhouse were my father was born before WW2.

He actually showed me the location about 30 years ago for the first time and did the same a few weeks ago. Now I'm interested in the details of this crash and the crew.

    Cheers,
    Hans
