Following on from my previous thread, see below. I have a report from the Toronto Star newspaper and Flight Magazine that F/O. George Pepper (29 Sqn) shot down three enemy aircraft in one night. I can find two claims credited to Pepper on the night of 31 October - 1 November 1942 both Do217s the third claim on the same night goes to S/L. J R D. Braham (29 Sqn) once again a Do217.

Were the media a bit premature in giving Pepper all three claims at the time?

Any help would be appreciated.
