    Default 101 Sqn a/c

    Hi Pavel

    From Chris Ward / Steve Smith's "3 Group Bomber Command" ...

    R1801 = SR-U
    X3206 = SR-H
    R1702 = SR-F
    R1780 = SR-B/U (obviously had a code-change at some stage)
    X9608 - not listed (X9806 = SR-A)
    R1219 = SR-R
    R1088 = SR-O
    R1699 = SR-D
    R1781 = SR-C

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Pavel

    No need for the pm. Pleased to help. What're you researching, out of interest?

    Ian Hunt

    ps In return, could you maybe assist me please? ...

    On the Lubeck raid, March '42, 311 Sqn's 9 a/c were piloted by P/O Bala, Sgt Pospichal, F/O Horejsi, Sgt Zezulka, Sgt Bulis, P/O Taiber, F/S Doktor, Sgt F Dostal and F/S J Kalensky. Apart from the last two I don't know what their first name(s) initials were. Would you have any info?

    Default F/L Zezulka

    Hello Swifty

    I'd forgotten about this post. Well, it was some years ago. For the record though, I did make grateful use of Pavel's information.

    My interest in these pilots was in respect of the Lubeck Raid (28/29 March 1942). I've been compiling details on all the a/c which took part and what happened to them in order to get a complete picure of one Bomber Command operation (one that, as far as I'm aware, hasn't been researched in depth before - certainly not in any books I've seen published).

    So if you do have anything on his sortie that night that you'd be willing to share I'd be most interested to see it. Either on here or (since the original thread was about something completely different, 101 Sqn) by private message?

    Thank you for contacting me.

    Kind regards

    Ian
