Unfortunately, nothing mentioned in Norfolk CD files for aircraft crashes on 20 Jan 1942. This was not unusual if no damage to property resulted and CD services were not required.

    Default F/L Leslie Wood 80659

    Gentlemen,

I am not able to add any operational data, I am carrying out some family research. Leslie was my uncle and is remembered at Norwood Cemetery in London. He was awarded an MBE for inventing an aircraft landing light, i can find no details of what form this took but it was adopted. My side of the family lost touch with his afyer his death in 1942 and I am hoping someone can give me some leads to pursue; I would like to get in touch if possible with his son whose name is I believe David.

Help would be appreciated Brian Wood Thirsk N Yorks
