    Default William Angus Stewart DFC

    Hi All,

I am trying to find a reference to the citation of the DFC to W. A. Stewart DFC.

I've trawled the London Gazette and other than 4 entries relating to commission and rank I can find no listing for his DFC. He flew late war with 576 Sqdrn (Elsham Wolds) - 32 Ops so the DFC is probably 1945.. he is mentioned in the Gazette in early Dec and not as DFC.

    I would appreciate any help,

    Many thanks in advance,

    Russ

just searched for Angus Stewart in the Phrase field

Gazette Issue 37001 published on the 23 March 1945. Page 3 of 6
    Air Ministry, 27th March, 1945.
The KING has been graciously pleased to approve the following awards: —
    Distinguished Flying Cross.
    ...
    Flying Officers
    William Angus STEWART- (54751), R.A.F., 576 Sqn.

searching by his serial number find it straight away.

No citation in there however. Just the listing.

No citation in the Flight Magazine Archives either, just listing.
