Body of F/O HICKS may have been found washed ashore or recovered from the sea. His crew (Sgt R.E. CREE - 746709 * F/Sgt J.A. FAILL - 635564 * F/Sgt W.C. MITCHELL - 900804) all missing and commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.

    Hi All,

    Some confusion in CCL1/110.

33542 F/O.Robert Leslie HICKS, as stated, lies buried in Pornic War Cemetery. R/82956 F/Sgt.Reginald McLeod HICKS RCAF, is buried in Poix de Picardie Churchyard.(See:BCL4/221).

    No confusion.

THe orginal printed entry was in error for service number and PoW. I've corrected the file entry and confirm that F/O Hicks in Pornic is the pilot from No.22 Sqn lost on that aircraft.

    Regards
    Ross
